Choux Pastry

  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • ½ cup sugar
  • 4 egg yolks

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare Choux Dough

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a saucepan, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil.
  3. Add flour all at once and stir vigorously until dough pulls away from the pan.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  5. Beat in eggs one at a time until smooth and glossy.

Step 2: Pipe Heart Shapes

  1. Transfer dough to a piping bag with a large round tip.
  2. Pipe two curved lines meeting at the bottom to form a heart shape on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
